The University of the Year 2020 nominee, the University of Worcester is a campus-based university and home to 11,000 students studying subject areas ranging from Business, Health to Sports, Arts or Science.

The University of Worcester is a hidden gem of UK academia. It ranks 1st in the UK, and 26th globally for Quality Education, according to the globally respected Times Higher Education. The University prides itself on its personal approach to student support and in 2020 the University of Worcester was awarded for the Outstanding Contribution for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Since 2009, the university has been working towards the acquisition of many new sites across the city and developed world class facilities such as The Hive Library, a 2,000 seat multi-purpose sporting arena, the Art House and the School of Law. Over the last decade the University has expanded across four campuses and is set to launch a Medical School in 2022.
The university is home to the Worcester Wolves basketball team, a netball club Severn Stars and the Worcester Royals, an American Football team.
Notable alumni include the politician Jacqui Smith, Bollywood actress and former Miss India Swaroop Sampat and Jo Yapp, former captain of England Women’s Rugby.
